The Salerno Student Branch invites its members to participate to the seminar "Adaptive data forecasting based on artificial intelligence" given by Prof. Dumitru-Iulian Nastac from Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Romania. The seminar aim is to reduce the sophisticated models in artificial intelligence to their essence, and, at the same time, adopt a pragmatic orientation in describing when and how to use them in data forecasting. Case studies and evaluation techniques of these models are considered, using practical examples in industry, economy, bio-engineering, weather forecasting, etc.
Topics:
- Short introduction in the Artificial Intelligence Theory. Main applications and actual limitations of Artificial Intelligence Models;
- Encoding the knowledge. Rule-based reasoning. Case-based reasoning
- Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Mathematical aspects of PCA. Space dimension reduction. Non-Linear Principal Component Analysis;
- Analysis of data forecasting applications in industry, bio-engineering (medicine).
The seminar is open to all students and Ph.D. of Electronic Engineering courses as well as all the people interested.
